Aligning and evenly distributing objects

You can align and evenly distribute objects on your diagram. Aligning takes all the selected objects and aligns them with the object that is furthest to the left, center, right, and so on, depending on what you select. Distributing takes all the selected objects and distributes them evenly either vertically or horizontally, depending on what you select.

1. Select the objects to align using one of the following methods:

• From the toolbar, click the pointer and then Ctrl+click or Shift+click the objects.
• Using your mouse, click and drag entire the entire objects you want to group so that a blue bounding box appears around them.

2. Click the properties button.

3. Use the Align and Distribute buttons to make the objects distributed the way you want.
