Pinning a previous version of a diagram

This feature is available only for Confluence Data Center instances; pinning versions is not available for Confluence Cloud instances.

You can display a previous versions of your Gliffy diagrams in the Confluence page instead of the most current version. This is also called version pinning. This is useful if you are working on changes, but don't yet want to publish them.

If you pin a version of your diagram, when you edit the diagram, you automatically update the latest version, and not the pinned version.

  1. Edit the Confluence page that contains the Gliffy diagram.

  2. Click the Gliffy diagram and, from the properties pane above or below the diagram, click Version.

  3. In the Version window, from the list of versions, choose the one to display. A preview appears.

  4. Click Update. The version you chose appears in the Confluence page. The pinned version number appears in the diagram's title bar. "version=" is the pinned version and "pagePin=" is the total number of versions of the diagram.

  5. Save the Confluence page to save your changes. Your selected version now appears on the Confluence page.

When you edit the diagram in the Gliffy Editor and save the changes, a new version of the diagram is created. The new version is not automatically displayed on the Confluence page, because there is a pinned page set. When you click Back to Confluence to leave the Gliffy Editor, you can choose the option to continue displaying the pinned version or to display the new version you just saved:
